To Make the Glaze – In a small pot: 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 Tbs corn starch
- 2 Tbs jello (Preferably wild strawberry)
Cook sugar and water and cornstarch to a rolling boil. Remove from heat – add jello – let cool – pour over strawberries on top of cream filling- chill and serve with whipped cream.
- 1 cooked and cooled pie crust (either pastry crust or graham cracker crust)
- 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup heavy cream ( Whipped )
- Top with fresh strawberries, whole inverted with caps off
Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla till smooth with mixer. Whip cream separately till stiff peaks form and fold together lightly till blended and pour into crust and chill.
Place strawberries on top when ready to serve and top with glaze. (If you use a pre-made graham crust you might end up with some extra glaze.)
